When it comes to kitchen cabinet refinishing, the most important factor is ensuring that every dollar spent adds long-term value to your home.
Choosing a true factory-grade cabinet finish is one of the best investments you can make when updating your kitchen. Unlike standard latex paints commonly used by general painters, professional cabinet refinishing requires specialized coating systems specifically designed for high-traffic kitchen environments.
High-performance single-component and two-component cabinet coatings provide exceptional durability, adhesion, and chemical resistance. These advanced finishes are engineered to withstand daily wear and tear, including exposure to common household cleaners, food spills, moisture, grease, and other kitchen mishaps. They also offer superior resistance to scratches, chipping, staining, and fading, helping your cabinets maintain their appearance for years to come.
One of the most overlooked causes of cabinet finish failure is repeated skin contact. Natural oils from hands gradually break down conventional paint finishes, especially around handles, knobs, and frequently touched surfaces. Over time, this leads to premature wear, discoloration, and peeling. Professional cabinet coating systems are specifically formulated to resist these conditions, providing a smooth, durable finish that stands up to constant use.
For homeowners considering cabinet painting or kitchen cabinet restoration, investing in a proven factory-grade coating system delivers a longer-lasting, more attractive result while protecting the value of your cabinetry. A properly applied professional finish not only enhances the appearance of your kitchen but also ensures superior performance and longevity compared to traditional house paints.
We use only the best products available at every step. Truly specialized cabinet coating systems that are designed for any abuse or wear and tear that is common in a kitchen. From spills to splashes, or accidental dropped pots, our coating system will stand the test of time.
From start to finish, every little detail is of the utmost importance. All pieces are removed, labeled, transported safely to our dedicated workshop where they will be prepped and finished, then packaged and safely installed.
The results speak for themselves. A quality you can physically feel and see. Buttery smooth coatings that resist fingerprinting, scuffing and common household cleaners, these are true factory finish that you'll never need to second guess.

One of the most important things homeowners should understand when considering kitchen cabinet refinishing is that not all paints and coatings are created equal. A common misconception is that if a product performs well on doors, trim, baseboards, or other interior woodwork, it will perform equally well on kitchen cabinets. In reality, kitchen cabinets are subjected to a completely different level of wear and abuse, making them one of the most demanding surfaces in any home.
Unlike trim or doors, cabinets are touched dozens—sometimes hundreds—of times every day. They are constantly exposed to hand oils, grease, moisture, food residue, cleaning chemicals, and temperature fluctuations. Most traditional trim enamels and standard interior paints are simply not formulated to withstand these conditions long-term. Even when surface preparation is performed correctly, the first signs of failure often appear around handles, knobs, and frequently touched areas where natural skin oils gradually break down the coating. Over time, this can lead to premature wear, discoloration, softening of the finish, and eventually chipping or peeling.
Another major issue with conventional paints is their resistance to common household cleaners. Many products that are perfectly safe to use on countertops and other surfaces can slowly degrade lower-quality cabinet finishes. Repeated cleaning can dull the sheen, cause visible scuffing, soften the coating, or even remove layers of paint over time. For sprayed cabinet finishes, these damaged areas are often difficult to touch up seamlessly, leaving homeowners with noticeable wear patterns that detract from the overall appearance of their kitchen.
This is why we exclusively use specialized cabinet coating systems designed specifically for professional cabinet refinishing and cabinet painting applications. These advanced coatings are engineered to provide exceptional adhesion, superior hardness, and long-term performance in high-traffic environments. Unlike traditional paints, they are formulated to resist hand oils, household chemicals, moisture, staining, and everyday wear while maintaining their beauty and durability for years.
With industry-leading scratch resistance, mar resistance, chemical resistance, and water resistance, these factory-grade cabinet finishes provide a level of protection that standard paints simply cannot match. The result is a smooth, furniture-quality finish that not only looks beautiful but also performs exceptionally well under daily use. For homeowners investing in a kitchen update, choosing the right cabinet refinishing system can mean the difference between a finish that lasts a few years and one that continues to look outstanding for the long term. Our goal is to provide that peace of mind by delivering premium-quality cabinet finishes that protect your investment while enhancing the beauty and value of your home.
Protection, disassembly and organization, and cleaning
First we will begin with protecting the surfaces of the surrounding area. All countertops, walls, appliances, floors, ceilings, fixtures, will receive the beginning stages of absolute coverage to protect them from airborn paint particles. We will create barriers to block off the kitchen from adjoining areas, and filtered ventilation will be set up to filter in fresh air, and filter out air containing particles from dust or paint.
The next step is to begin removing all pieces from the bases and packed to be transported. We use a labeling system to ensure they go back in the correct location. All hardware and hinges are removed, and hinges are labeled as top and bottom to eliminate the need for adjustment during install
The base surfaces are now ready to be cleaned. This involves using specific de-greasing solutions as well as others that help break down any contaminates embedded into the surface that may interfere with the primers and topcoats.
Sanding and filling, Caulking and priming
All surfaces require sanding to increase mechanical bond. This is a necessary step whether on previously painted surfaces, or as stained grainy oak. If grained oak, some may opt for grain to be partially filled or filled to smooth, and this will be split between primer coats and dedicated fillers. Sanding is completed in stages, working in progression from more to less abrasive as coatings are applied.
Caulking will be applied to areas where cabinets meet walls, or if a crown detail meets the ceiling, as well as toe kicks on the underside of the bases and shoe moulding/quarter round.
The prepped areas can now begin priming. Depending on the grain, a first coat will be back-rolled in to help fill the grain, after the first coat, and if we need to remove the grain, a filler will be applied and sanded, and then another coat of primer will be applied and sanded smooth.
All items up to and during this stage are inspected at every angle with inspection lighting to ensure quality.
Once the surfaces are fully inspected for possible flaws, they will get a final cleaning to remove any possible dust, all dust will be removed from the area and top coats can begin. A first topcoat is applied, and sanded once ready with an ultra-smooth abrasive, and cleaned for dust or debris. The final coat is now ready to apply.
Items at the shop are packaged in bubble wrap or packing foam sheeting to protect them.
A surface will be established with a soft scratch resistant cloth to begin installing hardware on the pieces. Each piece will return to its original location with its original hardware. If adjustments are needed, they will be made.
